How to get to the Hotel del Mare

From northern Italy

• When you are between Caserta and Naples go straight on to the Naples tollbooth exit, after the tollbooth follow the signs for A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria / Sorrento Peninsula and after about 20 km, this link road will allow you to reach the motorway leaving Naples on your right.
• Once you reach the toll booth, cost 2.00 euros in advance (be careful not to follow the viacard or telepass signs if you do not have one), proceed on the A3 motorway for 18 km, and exit at "Castellammare di Stabia" (immediately after the Pompeii exit).
• After the toll booth go left, follow the signs for Sorrento (blue signs).
• After about 2 km you access, through the ramp of an overpass, turning left, a viaduct that will lead you to the SS145 state road, passing through 2 tunnels and skirting the road to Sorrento.
• Entering the third tunnel you pass the town of Vico Equense, and after about 6 km you reach the village of Meta di Sorrento.
• Continuing on the main road (Corso Italia), crossing Meta di Sorrento, then Piano di Sorrento and then Sant'Agnello, you arrive in Sorrento (once you have passed the bridge).
• Continue to the intersection and turn left onto Via degli Aranci, keeping to the right.
• Walk along Via degli Aranci until you reach the Hospital.
• At the intersection on your right you will find an Esso petrol station: here turn right and position yourself as if you wanted to refuel.
• Continue forward and at 30 meters, turn right again onto Via del Mare, continue for another 600 meters and arrive at the Hotel del Mare.

From southern Italy

• From the Salerno Reggio Calabria motorway (A3), exit at "Castellammare di Stabia" (immediately after the Angri exit).
• After the toll booth go left, follow the signs for Sorrento (blue signs).
• After approximately 2 km you access through a ramp of an overpass, turning left, a viaduct that will lead you to the SS145 state road, passing through 2 tunnels and skirting the road to Sorrento.
• Entering the third tunnel you will bypass the town of Vico Equense, and after about 6 km you will reach the village of Meta di Sorrento.
• Continuing on the main road (Corso Italia), crossing Meta di Sorrento, then Piano di Sorrento and then Sant'Agnello you will arrive in Sorrento (once you have passed the bridge).
• Continue to the intersection and turn left onto Via degli Aranci and follow it all the way until you reach the Hospital.
• At the intersection on your right you will find the Esso gas station: turn right and position yourself as if you wanted to refuel.
• Continue for about 30 meters, turn right again on Via del Mare for another 600 meters and you will reach the Hotel del Mare.

By train

• From Naples Central Station, the Circumvesuviana trains leave for Sorrento, on average, every 35 minutes.

By bus

• Once in Sorrento (last stop), there is the Line 'D' bus to Marina Grande which leaves at a frequency of about 30 minutes

By taxi

• If you want to reach the Hotel del Mare by taxi from Sorrento Station, the cost is around €20.

By hydrofoil

• From the port of Naples, Beverello pier, hydrofoils leave every two hours for Sorrento. The duration of the crossing is about 40 minutes.
• Hydrofoils are very frequent. To check the updated timetables, consult the GESCAB website.

On foot

• The Hotel del Mare can also be reached on foot.
• From Sorrento Station, continue along Corso Italia and turn left.
• Walk along the entire Corso, passing through Piazza Tasso until you reach the Hospital (about 600 meters).
• From the Hospital, take Via del Mare down the stairs on the right before the overpass and, continuing for about 300 meters, you will arrive at the Hotel del Mare.
