The island of Capri is one of the most famous, most beautiful, most fascinating and rich in attractions not only in Italy but in the whole world.

The Roman emperors built their villas there, the remains of which can still be visited in extraordinary settings. In the Middle Ages and in the following centuries convents and churches were built there so as to leave beautiful artistic testimonies such as the Certosa di San Giacomo in the municipality of Capri. In the '900 famous people, actors, writers stayed there, who in some cases have left testimonies that can be visited such as the beautiful villa of Axel Munthe, the famous Swedish doctor who built his Villa di San Michele here to whom he dedicated a book that was a world best seller. A visit to Capri combines all the pleasures for a visitor, from natural beauty, to panoramas, from archaeological remains, to the pleasure of luxury shopping.

Marina Grande is the landing place on the island, marked by two hills including, in a saddle, the town of Capri, the town that gives its name to the entire island, a delightful place, with the famous "piazzetta", a meeting place for the social and social life of guests on the island. Villa Jovis is the large villa of Emperor Tiberius that combines the beauty of the landscape with the charm of Roman ruins.

Anacapri is located higher, less worldly and more authentic, in perpetual conflict with the other municipality, but deciding which is the most beautiful and fascinating place is a very welcome task to leave to visitors. From the Villa di San Michele in Anacapri you can enjoy exceptional views, which go towards the Sorrento Peninsula, the entire Gulf of Naples, Vesuvius looming over the plain.

If you take a boat trip you can visit the famous Blue Grotto, which has beautiful reflections and colors due to the narrow entrance and the depth of the waters. And then you see the Faraglioni, symbol of the island, rocks planted in the water in a suggestive way.

A place sung by poets and writers, the protagonist and setting for countless films, from Godard's Contempt with Brigitte Bardot, to Totò's films such as Totò in Colors.
