We stayed at Hotel del Mare in April 2013 and I can highly recommend it. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was very good and the location is fantastic. We had a room on the top floor, with views out over the fishing boat harbour, and easy access to the roof top sun terrace. The small fishing hamlet of Marina Grande where the hotel is located has numerous restaurants and bars right on the water front, so if you like seafood this is the place to be. It has the feel of a small quiet fishing village, yet is only about a 10 minute walk from the tourist centre of Sorrento. There are also great views along the coastline of the Bay of Naples, right across to Naples itself on the other side of the Bay, with views of Mt Vesuvius looming above Naples. We would definitely stay at the Hotel del Mare if we return to return to Sorrento.

stayed at the Hotel Del Mare from 14.06.12-17.06.12 for a wedding (elsewhere in Sorrento) Hotel was very nice/clean, staff very friendly and helpful, it was in a great location with most attractions only a short walk albeit up hill (but great to work off the pasta and beer intake) would definitley say its more than ideal for a short stay, price very good also.

Hi,

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Del Mare in Sorrento when we started our Gulf of Naples adventure.

First and foremost, the location on the beach is just perfect. Walk to the Marina Grande or to the Port to catch a ferry/hydrofoil to Capri..everything is in walking distance.

Secondly, the hospitality of Mr Gianni and his staff is marvellous. Though the place is a small cosy one, the staff really ensures that the stay is one of the memorable ones. Not to mention the breakfast - a rather good and sumptous one.

I would recommend all to give a day to try Mr Gianni's hospitality in the beautiful town of Sorrento.
